Are you interested in becoming a USA Cycling official?

Officials are the backbone of much of what happens out in the field and the true ambassador of USA Cycling that the riders will see. To become an official, you will need to attend an officials seminar, purchase an officials license, and take an open book exam. The seminar is called a Regional C clinic and gives a basic introduction to road, track, and mountain bike officiating.

The NJ Officials Seminar will take place Monday, February 20th at 10am at the Somerville Lincoln Hose Company No 4 ( Firehouse ) - located at 24 Warren Street Somerville NJ  ( use mapquest for directions )

** First half of the seminar will be review of rules and getting acquainted with new rules ( good idea for ALL officials to attended this part and go through the review and pick up the calendar of events for 2006 ) second half of the seminar will be the testing.

RSVP by February 5th. Pre-clinic study materials include the 2006 USCF rulebook, NORBA Rulebook, and Officials Manual available at www.usacycling.org  Knowledge of USCF rules will be tested with an open book, multiple choice test. Bring check for $35 for USAC officials license.

See you at the races
